60th Independence Day celebrated with zeal

BUREWALA: 60th Independence Day was observed here with great favor and solidarity in the Burewala Sub-Division.

 

The main national flag hoisting ceremony was held at Jinnah Hall Burewala where MNA Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad Jatt hoisted national flag along side Tehsil Nazim Burewala Chaudhry Usman Ahmad Warraich. A police guard gave guard on honoree while school children sung national anthem on the occasion.

 

Sub-Divisional Police Officer Burewala Ghulam Mustafa Pahur, Tehsildar, Muhammad Mohsin Padhiar, Tehsil Naib Nazim, Burewala Ghulam Mustafa Bhatti, Tehsil Municipal Officer Ch Khurshid Nabi Warraich and other were present on the occasion. A colorful ceremony was also organized at TMA premises where school children presented national songs, tableaus and speech to mark the day. Awards and Certificates were distributed among the participants and organizers of the event.

 

Later MNA Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad Jatt, Tehsil Nazim Burewala Chaudhry Usman Ahmad Warraich, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Burewala Ghulam Mustafa Pahur, Tehsildar, Muhammad Mohsin Padhiar, Tehsil Naib Nazim, Burewala Ghulam Mustafa Bhatti, Tehsil Municipal Officer Ch Khurshid Nabi Warraich, Anjuman-Tajrran President Muhammad Jameel Bhatti, Administrator Market Committee Burewala Ch Sohail Amin, Press General Secretary Club Nadeem Mushtaq Ramay, Asghar Ali Comrade, Asghar Ali Javed and others were present on the occasion.

 

  

 

Burewala people facing unscheduled load shedding

BUREWALA: Unscheduled load shedding was enforced throughout Burewala from afternoon till night on account of a major power crisis due to technical fault at Burewala grid station was due to negligence of the Grid Station staffers.


According to Burewalanews.com report, 12 hours long load-shedding have irked the people in very hot and humid weather on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

According to the Grid Station Burewala supply line from Vehari was damaged due to load and the staffers could not identified the fault in 12 hours and continued load shedding from half to one hour after every 10 to 30 minutes in different span of time from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

The continuous power failure created havoc with the people as they were with out water and elder and children suffered a lot in this regard and many fell unconscious. The industrial consumers also faced many difficulties through the days and when the tried to approach their telephone was put on hold and nobody was available for the reply.

When the matter put in the notice of the Superintendent Engineer Mepco Vehari Circle Shafqat Asghar Tahir he was also unaware about the situation and ordered Burewala Division Manager Sheikh Muhammad Sharif and DCM Chaudhry Muhammad Ashfaq to check the cause and both officials reached Grid Station to know the exact situation of the failure of the power supply and later power supply was restored at 10:00 PM.

Burewalanews.com also learnt that the fault was due to true negligence of the Grid Station staff and the system was heating due to problem since last three days but the fault could be diagnosed and they increased the load shedding in the area. 

The people also complained that grid station staff is involved in extra load shedding with under standing with Mepco line superintends to reduce line losses.

Muhammad Anwar Bhatti a staffer at the grid station informed that the fault was sudden and “we could get in the time and that’s we called team’s from Vehari and Chichawatni top check the system. He denied the allegation of extra load shedding and said that “we do load shedding on the Performa provided by the local Mepco officials”. He declared local Mepco officials responsible for the last day hours long unschooled load shedding.

Girl electrocuted plugging a pedestal fan

BUREWALA: A 14 years old girl was electrocuted while plugging a pedestal fan at Azizabad here on Tuesday.

Javeria niece of Allah Rakh resident of Azizabad was plugging pedestal fan where suddenly she received an electric shock and was rushed to the THQ hospital but she expired before getting any medical treatment.
