DV does not accept financial support from the civil society 'donors' here or abroad for administrative expenses. We are a group of over 80 people all over the country with expertise ranging from 3D modelling and animation to proposal writing for community based organiztions and much more in between. DV brings together well over 500 years of development experience in its over 80 members around the country to bear upon its work.
DV works to support the process of development underway in Pakistan as a collective of concerned development activists who are all NGO and print media professionals. They work to realize a Pakistan where the development process is democratic.
We generate sufficient resources selling our services to run DV as we please
and as instructed by our members. We all think of our work as political. We are well networked locally, nationally, regionally and increasingly internationally. Our interventions are small and we are happy with that. We have a few plans of our own and are trying to realize those for all of us.
DV has extensive linkages with the government, NGOs and the print media in Pakistan. As partners, DV has the good luck to have many NGOs / CBOs, Trade Unions and Networks in all the four provinces of Pakistan. However, we do not enter into direct partnerships with the government, local, provincial or federal.
Additionally, many networks in Pakistan rely on DV to provide them with research inputs to underpin their various advocacy engagements with the WB and the Government of Pakistan and others. We are also members of many national, regional and international networks.
