COLLEGE'S EVENTS

            The academic year of Cadet College Kohat is marked by many different events and Inter-House Competitions. In these events, the Cadets participate with full zeal and enthusiasm. These are the events which invoke confidence and sportmanship in them.
           The year normally begins with the Junior Inter-House Competitions, held during the first academic term. All the six houses compete with each other in matches of Football, Hockey, Basket Ball, Table Tennis and Cricket. These competitions include cadets from the Junior classes, i-e 8th, 9th and 10th. The Champion House in each event is awarded with a trophy.
           Senior Tournaments are held in the second term, after the Summer Vacations. These are really tough contests and each house puts in it's best efforts to become victorious. Besides Cricket, Hockey, Football and Basket Ball, Swimming and Athletics are also held at the senior level. Each tournament has it's own weightage in deciding the over all Championship Shield.
           In the co-curricular activities, Debates are held anually both in Urdu and English, on diverse subjects. It is this platform, that provide speakers for the National Level of Competitions. Besides Debates, Essays Writing Competitions are also held every year. Cadets prove their writing power both in English and Urdu.
           The Islamic Society arranges Inter-House Naat and Qirat Competitions. These events provoke their love of religion and produce some remarkably great Qaris and Naat Khwans.
           To Keep the Cadets upto date with the rapidly changing affaris of the world, a total of five Quiz and Intellegence tests are arranged every Friday. From the Inter-House Level, Cadets have risen to be declared as "Best In Quiz" on the National Level.
          All the events including Curricular, Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular activities add up to the overall Championship Trophy, which is greatly cherished and honoured. Each House puts in its best efforts, to be the Champion.

PARENT'S DAY

         Parents Day, held annually, is the single most awaited event of the year. It is important not only because of its singularity but also due to the fact that great traditions have been connected to this day.
            Parent's Day, as the name indicates, is an invitation to the parent's of the cadets to come and wittness their child is being groomed. The function is held in every fall and is marked by the arrival of worthy personalities and even the heads of state.
            Preparations for this great day start many days ahead and as it approaches, the enthusiam increases. When the day comes, it is felt to be full of joy and happiness.
            Many events are prepared for the Parent's Day. One, most important is the parade of honour which depicts the discipline and glory of the college. Second, is the show jumping and tent pegging, an art uniquely mastered by the young cadets.
             Annual prize distrubition also takes place on this day and the most coveted award, The Best Cadet, is announced on this very day. Best Student and Best Sports Man are also awarded in this function.
             Another speciality of the Parent's Day is the presentation of science, arts, bilology and computer clubs. Science club motivates the creativity towards scientific projects, arts club empores the inner talents of the cadets towards calligraphy and pin & thread work, the biological club makes models to make us anderstand ourselves better whereas computer club refines the talent of the cadets in programming and designing hence paving a pathway to a bright future.

REUNION

         The first Sunday of October is a red letter day in the life of every Kohatian. It is a day when they all visit their Alma-Mater, to refresh their memories. They call it as the "Kohatians Reunion". The reunion is a unique combination of old and new Kohatians. While the olders renew their cherished memories of the college, the newers find their goals in the success of their seniors. A dignified function marks the beginning of the reunion. Matches between the old and new Kohatians are a matter of interest for every Kohatian. They compete each other in Cricket and Basketball.
           The reunion also includes a combined lunch for all the Ex-Cadets and Cadets. This lunch ends the function.
